<br />" <br /> <br />Action on Commercial Preliminary Plat-TABLED <br /> <br />Consideration of New Pla.nniI\g Commission Member <br />MOTION by Ms. Broussard-Vickers directing Staff to inform Ms. Ayde that the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission have received her resume and are in the application selection process and will <br />report back to her. Motion seconded by Ms. Vermeulen. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />APPEARANCES <br /> <br />DISCUSSION ITEMS <br /> <br />Tobacco Ordinance Research <br />Ms. Gaustad reported the City of Circle Pines has drafted a copy ofa Tobacco Ordinance and has <br />scheduled a public reading in September. The City Administrator, Jim Keinath will forward <br />Centerville a copy upon the tobacco ordinance completion. Also, the City of Lino Lakes plans to <br />examine their current tobacco ordinance after elections in this fall. Ms. Gaustad suggested <br />considering continuity among the communities who are served by the same police department. <br />And, Ms. Gaustad recommended tabling the issue until more information becomes available. <br /> <br />S~ta1y Sewer Ordinance <br />Ms. Gaustad reported pertinent information has not been received to update the Residential <br />Equivalent Unit figures listed in the sanitary sewer ordinance, and suggested the City Engineer or <br />Building OfficiallPublic Works Director may have additional information on the suggested fees. <br /> <br />October Agenda <br />*Willow Glen Business Park <br /> <br />Ms. Gaustad reported the results of the August Commission action. Budget and codification <br />issues were addressed and will be considered at a budget meeting Thursday, September 4, 1997. <br />Also, the City Council approved and granted Rich Toumi the utility encroachment variance <br />request. The pawn shop ordinance was approved with the Planning and Zoning recommendations <br />outlined by resolution 97-17. The Council approved the modification to the tax increment <br />financing plan for tax increment financing district No. 1-3. <br /> <br />MOTION by Ms. Vermeulen to adjourn the September 2, 1997, planning and zoning meeting. <br />Motion seconded by Ms Broussard-Vickers.
