It is hard to develop <br /> commercial properiy adjacent to a residential area. <br /> Motion bv Council Member Travis, seconded bv Council Member Broussard <br /> Vickers to apurove the site nlan submitted by Lloyd Drilling contingent u on an <br /> approved Developer's Agreement. All in favor. Motion carried unanimousl� <br /> Mayor Swedberg stated Mr. Drilling has done everything he can to mitigate resident <br /> concerns and thanked him for doing so. Mayor Swedberg questioned if the grass on the <br /> berms would be maintained. Mr. Drilling concurred. <br /> Mayor Swedberg questioned whether the area in the northwest corner of the property <br /> would be paved or sodded. Mr. Drilling stated that the area would be sodded and <br /> maintained similar to the berms. <br /> Mayor Swedberg indicated he would like Mr. Joe Goetz or another landscaping expert to <br /> comment on the landscaping plan. Mr. Drilling stated that the architects would provide <br /> information and recommendations for landscaping. <br /> 3. Police Commission Interviews I <br /> Mr. March stated that Council needed to appoint three (3) individuals to participate on <br /> the Police Commission Interview Panel. Mayor Swedberg had previously expressed I <br /> interest in participating and felt that the Mr. March should also participate. Mr. March <br /> also stated that Commissioner Wright had also expressed interest in participating. I <br /> Motion b�Mayor Swedberg, seconded by. Council Member Broussard Vickers to <br /> a�point Mayor Swedberg, City Administrator March, and Commissioner Wright to ' <br /> the Police Commission Interview Panel. Ayes — 4, Nays — 1(Travis). Motion <br /> carried. <br /> Council Member Nelson expressed her desire to have been a part of the process. <br /> 4. Goals and Objectives <br /> Mr. March explained Mayor Swedberg has suggested a Council work session to discuss <br /> the consolidated list of 2001 goals and objectives. Mayor Swedberg explained he wished <br /> to get a sense of order to the list. It is difficult to find time for Council Members to speak <br /> to one another and this is the reason behind scheduling a work session. Mayor Swedberg <br /> suggested a work session be held on January 31, 2001 at 7:30 p.m. Consensus was to <br /> schedule a work session for January 31, 2001 at 7:30 p.m. <br /> Mr. March requested that Council rank their goals in order of importance to them prior to <br /> the meeting. <br /> Mayor Swedberg requested that Mr. Hoeft and Mr. Peterson to provide the top 10 items, <br /> in their opinions, for the City from the list of ideas. <br /> Page 7 of 14 <br />
