CITY OF CENTERVILLE RESOLUTION 96-10 A resolution r~ving plans and specifications and ordering advertisement for bids. WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the council on February 14, 1996, the city engineer bas prepared plans and specifications for the improvement of water main extension west on Main Street from Mill Road to Progress Road, north to Westview Street and also two watermain alternate routes: south off of Grange View between lots 4 and 5 of the L'Allier Estates, north along the northern portion of the Dupre property, south to the Elementuy School, and to consider the street improvement of Progress Road north of Main Street to a 9-ton road. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCn. OF CENTERVR.LE, MINNESOTA that such plans and specifications, a copy ofwbich is attached hereto and made a part hereot: are hereby received. The city engineer shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the clerk until Monday, April 1, 1996 at 10:00 a.m. local time, at which ti1ne they will be publicly opened in the council chambers of the city hall by the city clerk and engineer, with then be tabulated, and will be considered by the council at the regular council meeting scheduled for April 10, 1996. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportUnity to address the council on the issue of responsibility. No ~ids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the clerk and accompanied by. a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the city for five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid.
