<br />(' <br />I <br />! <br /> <br />, <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I t. <br /> <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />,-. . <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #88-40 <br />RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE FIRST ANNIVERSARY OF MEDIATION <br />SERVICES IN THE COMMUNITY AND ACKNOWLEDGING OUR VOLUNTEERS' <br />SERVICE TO CENTERVILLE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mediation Services for Anoka County was established in <br />1987 for the purpose of assisting citizens of Anoka county in <br />resolving disputes through the use of a neutral, third party <br />volunteer mediator; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in every community there are numerous disputes which are <br />not amenable to legal proceedings or police action, but disrupt <br />lives of individuals involved; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mediation Services for Anoka County is staffed by <br />volunteers that are mediators, case developers, office staff and <br />board members; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, these volunteers served 324 people during its first year <br />and totaled more than 1,300 hours of volunteer service. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Centerville City Council <br />hereby acano.led,e. and congratulates Mediation Services for <br />Anoka County for a successful first year; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED. that the Centerville City Council hereby <br />acknowledges and congratulates Mediation Services for Anoka <br />County for a successful first year; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that <br />extends its deep appreciation <br />80 diligently to make Anoka <br />Centerville a better place to <br />hereby bestows upon them <br />Citizens" of Centerville. <br /> <br />the Centerville City Council hereby <br />to the many volunteers who worked <br />County and especially the City of <br />live and that the CityCouncil <br />the designation of "Outstanding <br /> <br />Passed by the City Council this' 11th day of May, 1988. <br /> <br />~ R. 5f-' I~' <br />~:~~~1f~~{1t <br /> <br />" '- <br /> <br />IN WITNESS THEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the <br />Seal of the City of Centerville to be affixed this 11th day of <br />May 1988. <br /> <br /> <br />~~ "/JjlfJii~~. <br />
