<br />RESOLUTION #88-35 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAID VACATIONS lOR CITY EMPLOYEES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Centerville met on <br />Wednesday, April 27, 1988 at 7:00 p.m. in City Hall, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council discussed the policy of paid holidays <br />for City Employees, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes that New Year's Day, Hartin <br />Luther King Day, Washington and Lincoln's Birthday, Memorial Day, <br />Independence Day, Christopher Columbus Day, Veterans' Day, <br />Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day are named in the state law on <br />holidays (M.S. 845.44, Subd. 5), and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the budgetary constraints of <br />the City of Centerville, <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of <br />Centerville shall implement the policy that employees of the City <br />of Centerville will receive five paid holidays per year, and <br /> <br />1- <br /> <br />BI IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the five p~~i9ays will be New Year's <br />Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day,}.fic!{""thristmas, and <br /> <br />BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the rate of pay shall be calculated <br />in the same manner as vacation, and be based upon the average <br />number of. hours worked per day in the previous year. <br /> <br />Adapted by the Council this 27th day of April, 1988. <br /> <br />y:~ 02, ~ I~ <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />. ttflilVJ~ ~!j~~ilJ. <br />.
