<br />.w <br /> <br />t. , <br />'. ,..I <br />I' .; <br /> <br />LJ <br /> <br />I <br />l <br /> <br /> <br />l' ".ti'!!..,',. , <br /> <br /> <br />RlSOWTION 16-77 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Anoka County Park Department has in conjunction <br />with the Ad Hoc StudyCommi ttee prepared a compre he n8ive plan <br />for proposed development of the Chain of Lakes Park Re..rve. and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County Park Department has prepared and distributed <br />copies of said plan to Centerville City Council and other <br />interested parties for review and comment, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, members of the City Council and other interested parties <br />met with Mr. David Torkildson, County Park Director, on February <br />14, 1977, at which time Mr. Torkildson outlined County plans <br />for the Park Reserve and tentative timetable for implementation <br />of said plan and also responded to questions posed by members in <br />attendance on said plan, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County Park Director gave assurances that the City's <br />main concern of policing in the Reserve would be given special <br />consideration and every effort would be made to maintain order <br />within the Park Reserve by County police, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is in general agreement with the concept <br />contained in the proposed plan and wishes to commend all those <br />persons responsible for its completion. The City Council also <br />endorses the spirit of cooperation developed between the County <br />Park Department and the various communities that provided input <br />into the plan and would hope this spirit of cooperation shall <br />continue throughout the entire process of implementation of the <br />various phases of the plan. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City <br />of Centerville does hereby endorse the Chain of Dakes Park <br />Reserve plan as presented and recommends the County Board -aT <br />Commissioners adopt and submit the plan to the Metropolitan <br />Council for approval. . <br /> <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br /> <br />Walter Prachar, Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />surer .~. <br /> <br />.. <br />
