CITY OF GEM LAKE <br />RESOLUTION NO.95-13 <br />04 August 1995 <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County Department of Public Works has proposed to pave two -thousand seven - <br />hundred fifty (2,750) feet of four {4'0") foot shoulders of LaBore Road suitable for use as a bicycle path from <br />County Road E to Goose Lake Road in the Cities of Gem Lake and Vadnais Heights in conjunction with a <br />recycling and overlay project on said road; and. <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County's cost participation policy calls for municipal participation in shoulder paving <br />costs by both the City of Gem Lake and the City of Vadnais Heights; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vadnais Heights has approved shoulder paving along the west <br />side of LaBore Road in the City of Vadnais Heights; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Vadnais Heights has agreed to acknowledge the residential zoning of Gem Lake. <br />along the east side of LaBore Road as it considers further development along the west side of LaBore Road; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Gem Lake believes it is in the best interest of public safety and <br />general improvement of the community to improve and pave said shoulders, <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Gem Lake does, by means <br />of this, Resolution No. 95-13, approve the expenditure of four -thousand four -hundred eighty-four ($4,484) <br />dollars for said improvements; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council authorizes the City Clerk to execute Ramsey County <br />Agreement No. 95017 as City of Gem Lake Agreement No. 95-0.1. <br />
