Gem Lake City Council. Meeting <br />Page Three. <br />Councilwoman Artig-Swomley offered the resolution and. Councilman <br />Rasmussen seconded the resolution. A voice vote was.taken: Mayor Uzpen — <br />yes, Councilman Watson — 'yes; Councilman Rasmussen — yes, Councilman <br />Lindner — yes and Councilwoman Artig-Swomley — yes. Resolution Number <br />20.09=09 passes. <br />Resolution Number 2009-08: Mayor. Uzpen presented to the Council resolution <br />2009-08 approving the transfer of certain funds for the City of Gem Lake. <br />Councilwoman Artig-Sworriley offered the resolution and Councilman Watson. <br />seconded the resolution. A voice vote was taken: Mayor Uzpen — yes, <br />Councilman Watson - yes, Councilman Lindner — yes, Councilman Rasmussen — <br />yes, and Councilwoman Artig-Swomley — yes. Resolution Number 2009-08 <br />passes. <br />Resolution Number 2009-07: Mayor Uzpen presented to the Council resolution <br />2009-07 adopting the preliminary amount to be raised by property taxation for the <br />Year 2010. Councilman Lindner offered the resolution and Councilwoman Artig- <br />Swomley seconded the resolution. A voice vote was taken: Mayor Uzpen - yes, <br />Councilman Watson — yes, Councilman Lindner — yes, Councilman Rasmussen — <br />yes, and Councilwoman Artig-Swomley — yes. Resolution Number 2009-07 <br />passes. <br />Claims for July 2009: The bills for July were discussed and authorized to pay. <br />Councilman Watson had a question about the Kinko's bill. Councilwoman Artig- <br />Swomley answered Councilman Watson's question. Upon motion by <br />Councilman Lindner and seconded by Councilwoman Artig-Swomley, the July <br />bills will be paid. Ayes — 5, Nays — 0. <br />Monthly Financial Report: Mayor Uzpen discussed the financial report with the <br />City Council. No questions were asked, as the Council was happy with the <br />report. <br />OPEN ITEMS — CITY COUNCIL <br />Solicitation License: Councilwoman Artig-Swomley asked the question of Gem <br />Lake having a Solicitation License for door-to-door salespeople. Will p.ut on the <br />agenda for the September City Council meeting. <br />Country Lounge Cigarette Violation: Mayor Uzpen received a call from the <br />owner stating that they went to court and the case was dismissed, The City <br />Council will receive a letter from the courts and he would like to place this issue <br />on hold until November due to the timeline of the court system.
