Gem Lake City Council Meeting. <br />Page 3 of 6 <br />Mayor Uzpen explained the air condition was not working and a service call was <br />needed. Upon motion by. Councilmember Lindner and seconded by Councilmember <br />Artig-Swomley, motion passes. Ayes — 5, Nays — O. <br />Monthly Financial Reports: The City Council received and reviewed the report. No <br />questions were asked from the council. <br />Tangwell/Larkin Ordinance 43 — Section 21.3 Violation: Building Inspector Mike <br />Johnson, from White Bear Township sent a report to Mayor Uzpen and the City Council <br />and. Mike is recommending turning over the Tangwell/Larkin issue to the City Prosecutor <br />Robb Olson. Councilrnember Bosak stated that it has been two years and the council <br />should move forward with further action. Upon motion from Councilmember Bosak and <br />seconded by Councilmember Lindner, the Tangwell/Larkin Ordinance 43 — Section 21.3 <br />violation will be turned over to the City Prosecutor Attorney Robb Olson. Ayes — 5, <br />Nays —g.. <br />S.G.S. Holdings, LLC Conditional Use Permit Violation: The conditional use permit <br />was issued last fall to S.G.S. Mayor Uzpen laid out the map that was given with their <br />proposal. The cars are not being parked in the area that was approved by the City <br />Council and agreed upon by S.G.S. Holdings. Mayor Uzpen talked to the owner last <br />December about the problem and asked how long would it be and Mayor Uzpen was <br />asked if they could have until spring. Mayor Uzpen visited Vera Auto Sales in March <br />and they asked for more time. Mayor Uzpen went back May 20th Mayor Uzpen spoke <br />to the owner at each visit and pointed out the violations. Mayor Uzpen advised the <br />owner that if they did not move the cars as per the Conditional Use Permit (CUP) they <br />would have to appear before the City Council for possible revocation of the CUP. <br />Councilmember Bosak stated that the remodeling should not interfere with the parking <br />of cars on County Road E. Councilmember Rasmussen stated when this permit came. <br />up for vote; he received feedback from some residents that they did not want parking on <br />County Road E. City Attorney Trevor Oliver stated that he would write a letter to S.G.S. <br />Holdings stating that the City Council will go forth with a Public Hearing in July regarding <br />the Conditional Use Permit. <br />Overlay Ordinances-- Number 122: The Planning Commission approved The Overlay. <br />and forwarded it to the City Council. Mr. Tom Hansen is requesting that the Council <br />take no action at this time towards the Ordinance. He is out of town and wants to <br />discuss this at the July City Council meeting. Mr. Hansen has sent emails to the <br />Council and Mayor Uzpen responded that the Council would discuss the issue at the <br />June City Council meeting and make a decision then regarding postponing the matter to <br />July. Some of the Councilmembers asked the question as to why Mr. Hansen's lawyer <br />was not at the meeting. Mayor Uzpen has sent a copy of the Ordinance to Tom and <br />Bryan Hansen. Mayor Uzpen requested that Attorney Oliver work on a separate <br />Ordinance dealing with wetland rules. A discussion took place about the trees that were <br />cut down. Considering the number of total trees on the lot including the boulevard there <br />is no violation to the tree Ordinance. After some discussion, it was decided by the City <br />Council to table this Ordinance until the July City Council meeting. Upon motion by <br />Look for us: on the World Wide.
