City of Gem Lake City Council meeting minutes January 15, 2019 Page 2 <br /> <br />Approval of the 2019 Fee Schedule <br />The 2019 Fee Schedule includes the fees that White Bear Township charges for services to Gem Lake <br />and a new $1.00 fee for a final design including elevations viewed from neighboring properties for <br />approval for projects/developments within the City of Gem Lake. A motion was made by <br />Councilmember Artig-Swomley, seconded by Councilmember Cacioppo to approve the 2019 Fee <br />Schedule. Motion passes, 2019 Fee Schedule approved. <br /> <br />Resolution 2019-001 Assignments (Appointing Individuals and Firms to Perform the Functions <br />Necessary for Supporting the Governing Body of the City of Gem Lake <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Artig-Swomley, seconded by Councilmember Cacioppo to <br />approve Resolution 2019-001. Motion passes, resolution approved. <br /> <br />Resolution 2019-002 Country Lounge Liquor License/Tobacco/Charitable Gambling <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Artig-Swomley, seconded by Councilmember Lindner to approve <br />Resolution 2019-002. Motion passes, resolution approved. <br /> <br />Resolution 2019-003 Donation to White Bear Lake Food Shelf Children’s Summer Lunch Program <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Artig-Swomley, seconded by Councilmember Cacioppo to <br />approve Resolution 2019-003, Donation to White Bear Lake Food Shelf Children’s Summer Lunch <br />Program. Motion passes, resolution approved. <br /> <br />Resolution 2019-004 Donation to New Trax, Inc. <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Lindner, seconded by Councilmember Artig-Swomley to approve <br />the Resolution 2019-004. Motion passes, resolution approved. <br /> <br />Fritz Magnuson – Purchase of Land from the City of Gem Lake <br />Mr. Magnuson wishes to purchase a piece of land that was part the Hansen properties and sold to <br />Hansen Homes to be part of Gem Lake Villas. City Engineer recommends that the City not sell the land <br />because of future utility needs. City Attorney Patrick Kelly said there is a warranty deed on Outlot A and <br />land that has been donated to the City has to be held in trust. Mr. Kelly will research regulations for city <br />donated land and report back to the Council at the February City Council meeting. <br /> <br />The lilacs on Daniels Farm Road were briefly discussed. Daniels Farm Road Association is willing to <br />continue to maintain the lilacs. Costs associated with the lilac upkeep last year were over $1,000. <br /> <br />Approval of 67D – Septic Ordinance – Minor Changes <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Artig-Swomley, seconded by Councilmember Lindner to approve <br />67D Septic Ordinance. Motion passes, septic ordinance changes approved. <br /> <br />Approval of Ordinance 9, Liquor Ordinance <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Artig-Swomley, seconded by Councilmember Kuny to approve <br />the changes to Ordinance 9, Liquor Ordinance.
