CITY OF GKIM LAKE <br />RtSOLUTION NO.2001-17 <br />21 May 200.1. <br />WHEREAS, by means o.f.Resolution No.. 200.1-61 the City Council has: adopted`febs*fbfr City services performed or provided <br />by the City, inc Idding sewer user charges; and <br />WHEREAS. the sewer fund is an enterprise fund'unsubsidized by general taxation.revertut;-attd <br />WHEREAS. the Metropolitan Council Environmental Services charges to the City of Gem.I.Ake Server Fuhd*a monthly charge <br />which is only modified periodically and irregularly and does not provide for vacancies of se%yer users connected to the system; <br />and <br />WHEREAS: a policy regarding charges 'for sewer se:rvice.to properties which -may, from time to time;.be-vaeant and therefore <br />sewer usage diminished. <br />NOW 7HERl FORE BE IT. RESOLVED, that tie City Council of she City of Gem Lake by means of -this Resolution .No. <br />'tf01-17 approves amendinent-ofthe City's fee schedule to include: a minimum charge oftW.-66 annually Per unit for r6idential <br />and commercial sewer users; and <br />BE IT FUR`rHER RESOLVED, that the:unit :in question- ntust be vacant for at least 2/3 of anv billing quarter (2 inonths) to <br />quality, for the miniimnit charge with the burden of proof' of vacancy placed upon the: real property owner; and <br />BE.
