Page 2 - One Hundred and Nineth meeting - continued 7. NEW BUSINESS - <br />a. Bigelow moved and Arcand second that Lee Ward and Anita <br />Morgan be added to the list of Judges for the National <br />Election . All ayes. <br />b. The Clerk read a letter from the Sheriff's office advisng <br />that the cost to Gem Lake of Police protection would incr- <br />ease in 1969 to �2,884.43 for the year or W21.11 per <br />quarter - this is an increase of about �1,000 over our <br />present annual rate. <br />In view of this increase it was decided to make our appli- <br />cation to the County for tax funds for 1969 in the amount <br />of �5,500 - an inscrease of one thousand over 1968. <br />Moved by Bigelow and seconded by Morgan. All ayes. <br />c. Approved by the council were notices for the FILING OF <br />CANDIDATES and NOTICE OF VILLAGE ELECTION. Th4 t notices <br />had already been given to the White Bear Press so as to <br />appear promptly. <br />d. Request from Diorthen State# ower to make a gas line hook- <br />up from the Chrysler lot s Scheuneman Road to 3660 <br />Scheumeman Road was approved <br />f. The Village Officeu up for election are: <br />One Mayor - two year term ( incumbent Hoffman ) <br />One Treasurer - two year term ( incumbent Knutson ) <br />One Trustee - three year term ( " Bigelow) <br />3iR NT9X0X .3tX%X_ffj[X�1 <br />g. The clerk read a letter from the Conservation Department <br />suggesting that Ramsey County be opened to bow and arrow <br />white tailed deer hunters in order to control the deer. <br />The oposi-yion to t is idea was unanimous and the Clerk <br />was ordered to so advise the Conservation Dept. <br />8.REPORTS OF VILLAGE OFFICERS :- <br />a.
