SEVENTIETH MEETING - VILLAGE OF GEM LAKE COUNCIL <br />JUNE 15th 1965 - HOFFMANS CORNERS HALL <br />{ <br />1, <br />MAYOR CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER A7' 8;55 PM <br />2, <br />THE CLERK CALLED THE ROLL - <br />PRESENT - Hoffman, Arcand, Grey and Morgan and D. Hoffman <br />ABSENT - Hansen <br />( present also Wild and Dwyer tact Birkeland for part time) <br />3. <br />ARCAND READ THE MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING HELD MAY <br />18th 1965 ( Clerk slightly disabled) Gray moved and Arcand <br />seconded that same be approved as read. All ayes. <br />4. <br />rRESENIPATIONS FROM THE FLOOR - none <br />5. <br />REPORTS OF COMMITTEES - <br />a. The planning committee recommended that a variance be <br />granted to Mrs. Leick for placement of her garage. <br />b. Foster3equested permit to use a mobile home at his lot <br />until the advent of cold weather. <br />Arcand moved and Gray seconded that above requmsts be granted. <br />All ayes. <br />6. <br />Unfinished business - <br />a. Art Birkeland reported that he had submitted his final plans <br />to Bemis about two weeks ago and was now awaiting approval <br />from the planning committee. Morgan was asked to contact Bemis. <br />Birkeland also reported some problems with the County Ditch, <br />which he felt could be solved. His contractor was to start. <br />7. <br />NEW BUSINESS - <br />a. Arcand moved and Gray seconded that the contract with the <br />Ramsey County Sheriff for police protection be extended for <br />an additional five years. All Ayes. <br />b. Arcand moved and §ray seconded that we resolve to stay in the <br />Ramsey County Leagure of Municipalitites. All ayes. <br />8. <br />REPORTS OF VILLAGE OFFICERS - <br />a.
