SPECIAL MEETING - VILLAGE OF GEM LAKE COUNCIL - CALLED BY THE MAYOR <br />on MONDAY MAY llth at 9:00 pm at his home. <br />PRESEIZT - Mayor Hoffman, Hansen, Gray, Arcand and Morgan <br />Also present Bill Stanger presenting his application again bit <br />still. not in writing. <br />The meeting began about 9:20 and Stenger's request for a spcial use permit <br />to operate a second hand or used car lot at his location at t11c northeast <br />corner of Scheunernan Road and E. County Rd. E. was again discussed at soiiie <br />length. At this time Stenger stated Vlat he would nave only 20 to 25 cars <br />and no mdels .later than 1959 because he could noL afford Vlo carry the later <br />used cards.It was again pointed out that Tousley had made a lame investment <br />in Gem Lake and it would not be equitable to set up a used car lot 1,hat <br />would not be in keeping with his efforts. Again no one wished to prevent <br />anyone from making a living in Gen Labe and the hope was ex. res,sed that <br />Stenger might find some other idea that would be more beneficial to the <br />village. <br />_Mayor Iioffman asked for a motion. <br />Bohn Gray moved and John Morgan seconded that !-lr. Stenger's verbal applicat- <br />ion for a special use permit under Sertion 12.3 (1) of Zoning Ordinance #5 <br />be denied. IJayor Hoffman called for a vote which resulted in four. Ayes and <br />One no. <br />On motion of Arcand and seconded by Hansen the ineeting adjourned at about <br />10 :00 pin. <br />
