➢ 1 Metropolitan Council representative <br />➢ tip to five community representatives (including business leaders or other key <br />stakeholders such as schools, parks, etc.) <br />The Project Team will meet four times through the four month process: <br />Meeting 1: Establish the process. goals and objectives,and agree to community outreach <br />work plan <br />Meeting 2: Review in from Workshop 1 and recommend panelists for 'Worksho0 3 <br />Meeting 3: Review draft recommendations <br />Meeting 4: Finalize recommendations <br />In addition, a Citizen Advisory Group will be created to ensure diverse <br />representation from a range of community interests and backgrounds, <br />consisting of up to twenty (20) members that will provide the following <br />functions: <br />• Identify outreach strategies to engage.u.nderrepresented groups to participate and <br />inform the County Road E Corridor Action Plan <br />• Expand the range of perspectives and expertise that inform the:final recommendations. <br />Membership will.be appo.inted by the partner cities. The Citizen:Advisory Group will. meet two <br />times during the process and will receive a small stipend for their.participation in the Advisory <br />Group. <br />Meeting I; Inform outreach.strategies: to achieve greater and more diverse community <br />participation <br />Meeting 2: Provide feedback an.d review for the draft recommendations and action plan <br />Outreach and Communications: <br />Promotional materials to publicize and recruit participation will include: <br />➢ A "Save the Elate" postcard..notification.about the five CD workshops to be:mailed to all <br />households in the vicinity three weeks in advance (cities will provide printing.and <br />mailing of postcards): <br />➢ Fliers that will be.delive.red door-to-doo.r to households in the surrounding. area, and <br />posted at local businesses anal other gathering places:. <br />➢ Information provided on the city web -site (admin.istered by city staff). <br />➢ .An electronic invite.to. be distributed through an email fist -serve and city -sponsored. <br />social media platforms. <br />The five part CDI workshop series will consist of: <br />Workshop l: Kick-off — County Road E Corridor Revitalization Plan <br />Introduction to the purpose and goals of the process, and the corridor and sites that will <br />be;the focus of the workshop. series. City and County staff will provide information.from <br />the updated comprehensive plans, demographics, goals., and.other relevant data. <br />Presentation will be provided by SE consultant on ways to reirnagine County Road E to <br />set the stage for revitalization, and Stantec.consultant on residential and retail trends. <br />Participants`will.w.ork in small groups to discuss their concerns and hopes for <br />redevelopment, .which will frame the values that the remaining workshops will aspire to. <br />3.1Pag <br />
