3.6 Routes of Collection. Collection routes: shall be establishod by -the. Company. Company shall submit the Residential Unit collection routes mthe City at least two.(2) weeks in advance of the -commencement date for.such route collection activity. The Company*may from time to time make ehanges.in: routes .or days of collection affecting Residential Units, proviided such changes in routes -or days of collection ore submitted to the City at. least two:.(2) weeks in advance .of the commencement date for such. changes. City shall promptly. giv.g:vv itten or.published notice to. the -affected. Residential Units, 3.7 Holidays. The following..shall be holidays for purposes of this Agreement:. New Year's Day, .Memorial. Day, Independence pay, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Should Collection Day be on or afterholjday that collection date.will be moved -to. next day. 3.8 Complaints. Company shall utilize its Customer Servace,procem Customer; Service shall be in service during daily.Hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m:, Monday through Friday;-v*cept.holidays and/or as specified i:n the Agreement. The telephone number of such office; and any changes, shall be given to the City in writing. All service:related: complaints must*be made directly to the Company and shall be given prompt and courteous attention. Arecord of all complaints and action taken thereon shall-irkept by Company and reported -monthly to the City. In the case:.of alleged .missed scheduled collections, the: Company shall investigate arid, if such allegations are verified, shall arrange for the collectioh of Recycling Material not collected, no later than 4.00 p.m. the next business day. The Contractor shall not have.a duty to pickup improperly set out carts, carts set out after 7:00 a.m. or. carts containing visible, Unacceptable Material. GPS documentation shall be provided to the -City upon request. Should- the Resident request a pickup, for a verified not out, late set orcart with contaminated material, before their next scheduled service day,. a: $25 "Go -Back" will be billed to the City by Company. The City is responsible*for billing the. Resident for reimbursement of the. $25-"Go-Back" :fee. 4. W ui ment 4.1 Collection Equipment. The .Company shall provide an adequate number of vehicles meeting .standards and. inspection requirements. as set: forth.by. the laws of the State fpe regolar-mtPniciipal recycling collection services.. For. Recycling Material. collection, all vehicles and other equipment shall. be kept in good repair -and. appearance' at all times and free from all offensive. odors as, possible and shall not be. allowed to stand. in. any, street, alley, or other Location, longer-thari is reasonably -necessary to'collect recyclables. Each vehicle- and -eeceptaclo shall be iii good, usable. condition and contain a spill kit.(including universal absorbent.*socks, rolls, and/or mats) which shall be placed and maintained on each vehicle. Each vehicle shall have clearly visible on each side the identity of the Company. Company shall make all collections in water -tight metal :receptacles or vehicles. with closed top_v"o- constructed that their contents will not leak,, spill,. or .scatter therefrom. Should any recyclables be-dwnpe.d or spilled in collecting -or. transporting; it :shall be immediately cleaned up.. 4.2. Identification. All vehicles. shall be *painted and marked uhi&it ily and shall have the haulees name and website prominently displayed in letters. of a contiasting:color,. at least three (3) inches high, on each.side of lie.vehicle. 4.3 Safety Equipment, Each collection vehicle shall have a flashing light warning system, fire extinguisher,. and proper back:.up alarms, per industry. standards. :.
