Gem Lake City Council Meeting <br />Page 3 of 5 <br />Claims for May 2013: The claims for May was discussed and authorized to pay by the <br />City Council. Upon motion by Councilmember Bosak and seconded by Councilmember <br />Lindner, the claims for May 2013 passes. Ayes — 5, Nays — 0. <br />May Monthly Financial Report: The City Council discussed the email Mayor Uzpen <br />sent to the City Council regarding the money at Wells Fargo. Mayor Uzpen would like <br />to pay off the City Road Bonds with the money. The total would be $300,000. <br />PRESENTATIONS FROM THE PUBLIC <br />Resident Paul Emeott stated Scheuneman Road was refinished nine years ago and in <br />2014, the bonds for that will be paid off. The striping on the road is light and was <br />wondering if the road could be restriped. Mayor Uzpen will call the County Public <br />Works to see if that can be put on their schedule for this year. <br />OPEN ITEMS FROM THE CITY CO`JNCIL <br />Councilmember Artig-Swomley used Animal Control for a lost dog to find its owner. The <br />dog had no nametag, but had a tag for an animal hospital. The Ramsey County Sheriff <br />called the hospital to reunite the dog to the owner. Mayor Uzpen explained why Hill <br />Crest was named in the Animal Control contract. Hill Crest will keep the animal for <br />three days to find the owner. <br />Councilmember Lindner read the following thank -you from Adam Lindner for receiving <br />one the Gem Lake Scholarships: <br />Dear Mayor Uzpen: <br />I would like to thank you and the Council members who granted me the Gem <br />Lake City Scholarship.
