It was noted that no prosecution matters have been billed in two <br />(2) months:.. The Council asked the Clerk to contact Mr. Meslow to deter- <br />mine our status. <br />The Clerk then: presented an estimate from T.A. Schifsky & Sons in <br />the amount of $880 for repair of City streets, a copy of which is. at-. <br />tached hereto as Exhibit "L".. The Council accepted: the .proposal and <br />noted that the amount was within the Clerk's jurisdiction for ā¯‘rdering <br />said work done without Council action. <br />The Clerk then presented a proposal from T.A. Schifsky & Sons Inc._ <br />for Ongoing Maintenance of city streets, a copy of which is attached. <br />hereto as Exhibit "M". Mr. McPhillips felt the proposal seemed reason- <br />able and that an independent contractor would have excellent knowledge <br />of said costs. Mr. Bernie Meier of Schifsky performs similar work for <br />the city of Oakdale. The Clerk noted that he needs to determine if <br />competitive bids are required due to the dollar amount of the contract <br />Mayor Emeott then reported that M.r. Ecklund Will commence septic <br />inspections as soon as he completes similar work in Dellwood. <br />Upon motion duly made {McPhillips} and seconded {Birkebak}, the <br />Clerk was empowered to execute and return the "FIRST AMENDMENT TO RAMSEY <br />COUNTY HOUSING AND: REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY JOINT COOPERATION AGREEMENT", <br />a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "N". <br />The Clerk then reported that a nuisance complaint against Allied <br />Electrostatic has been filed by Rob Cory stating noxious fumes are <br />bothering him. EPA states this is not a violation and referred the <br />Matter to the City. No action hasbeen taken. <br />Mayor Emeott then suggested. that he, Mr. Arend and Mr. Gardner tour <br />the city to determine. possible Ordinance Violations and discuss sign <br />inspections.. <br />The Treasurer's Report, a copy of which is attached hereto...as <br />Exhibit HO.", indicating:a balance in the General Fund of $6:07..07 and <br />in the Sewer Fund of $34,260.65 was accepted. <br />Payment of bills: totaling $5,08.7.71, a copy of which is attached <br />hereto as Exhibit "P", wasunanimously approved. <br />The Clerk then rioted the next council Meeting will be held on 18 <br />July 1994. <br />There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned by Mayor <br />Etmeott at 8:58 pm. <br />AUTHORED: 21 June 1994 <br />APPROVED: 18 July 1994 <br />Frederic C.
