CITY OF GEM LADE RESOLUTION NO.98-12 21 December 1998 WHEREAS, The Country Lounge has applied -for renewal of a Retail Tobacco Pibducts Resellers License for the period 01 January 1999 through 3-1 December 1999; and WHEREAS, said applicant has been similarlylicensed in.prior years in the City of Gem Lake; and WHEREAS, said applicant has operated the establishment without incident during 1.008; and WHEREAS, the State Of Minnesota has enacted legislation, reference Chapter 22.7 / H.F. 11.7. requiring -local units of ;government to establish or update local ordinances regulating retail tobacco sales and providing for compliance checks,.the -cost of which shall be born by the.iieensee; and WHEREAS, the: City Council has.e.stablished a Tobacco Compliance Ordinance which. became effective:28 February 1998. NOW THEREFORE RE 1T RESOLVED that the City Council (if -the City of Gem Lane does Hereby approve renewal of a. RETAIL TOBACCO PRODUCTS RESELLERS LICENSE ta(The Country Lounge for the period-01 January 1999,through 31 December 1999; and BE. IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City :retains the right ofrevocation at any time in the event .of violation of State laves regarding the retail .sale of tobacco products.
