CITY OF GEM LADE RESOLUTION NO..2006-08 20. March 2006 A RESOLUTION ORDERING A P.U-B.LIC. HEARING AND PROPER NOTIFICATION OF OWNERS OF PROPERTY TO BE BENEFICIALLY AFFECTED: BY CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS IDENTIFIED AS PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO:. 2006-03. (PIP2006-03). WHE.REAS;•RBmsey •County has indicated an interest: in turning back that portion .of the street currently known as Scheuneman Road commencing at it's intersection with. County Road.); thence north to it's intersection with State Highway 61 thus making said street a City owned street; and WHEREAS, the City Council and Staff have identified the need to improve said street including widening, repaving, installadon.of-storm water management design characteristics; and WHEREAS, it is the•c6llect1ve opinion of the White: Bear Lake Fire Department acting•as Gem Lake's fire department, the Ramsey -County Public Health. Department and the Gem Lake City. Coundifthat installation of city water to this business district is critical for the coiWnuing operation of existing businesses as- vvell.as development of additional business in the..area; and: WHEREAS, severalresidents of Gem Lake locatedalong this street have similarly requested similar improvements to the.area described by the City; and WHEREAS, by ResolutioQ No, 200.5-26, the Gem Lake City Council did order feasability-studies for consideration of this public improvement; and - WHEREAS, the City -Council did similarly. order in accordance with Vs -Comprehensive Municipal Plan a proposed plan for installation -of city water in the,City of Gem Lake with installation of water in this. district as -it's first phase of implementation; and WHEREAS,.said teasability study has been prepared by-dw City 9,-designated Pro" ect.Engineer, Mr. *David Mitchell of SEH, Inc. and delivered to and reviewed by the City Council; now, therefore; be it RESOLVED, that thc City Council of the City of Gem Lake does hereby order a public hearing on the matter be set before the Gem Lake City Counoll*at 7:00 PM on Monday, 24.Apri1.2006, and further orders the. City Clerk to prepare proper public noticeof sttch a hearitigiFor publication in the City's official newspaper and for.direct mail to all benefitted owners of real property-iri the. City.%of Gem Lake.
