CITY OF GEM LAKE <br />RESOLUTION NO.2005-28 <br />16 NOVEMBER 2005. <br />A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE GEM <br />LAKE PLANNING COMMISSION'AND ORDERING THE ADOPTION OF <br />PLANNING COMMISSION :RECOMMENDATIONS TO REPEAL <br />ORDINANCE N.O. 12 AND ENACT (PROPOSED) ORDINANCE NO. 69, <br />DRAFT "KI" AS*.GEM..LAKE ORDINANCE NO. 69. <br />WHEREAS, the Gem Lake Planning Commission has considered the need to update the City's Animal Control <br />Ordinance: originally adopted on 27 January L965 in order to insure.public safety; and <br />WHEREAS; the Gem Lake Animal Control and.�Code Enforcement officers have. indicated a need to update these <br />ordinances to -address circumstances which, in the future, could adversely impactptibliir..safety; and <br />WHEREAS, the .seven cities. who contract with the Ramsey.ountySheriffhave.beeiiprovidedinformationthatsypports <br />the need for -stricter local animal controls; and' <br />WHEREAS,. the City Clerk. provided substantial background to. the: Planning Commissionfor consideratioli of <br />revisions to. the Animal Control Ordinance; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Cotflmission has held several publio hearings on the: matter with. no adverse. fndino or <br />representations from residents;-tigw, therefore, be it. <br />RESOLVED; that the City Counoil'of the Cityof teem Lake does hereby accept the recommendations.o.fthe Planning <br />Commission. and orders the .repeal: ofOrdinanceNo. 12 and the enactment of (Proposed) Ordinance No. 6.9, Draft K as <br />Gem Lake Ordinance No. 69, said ordinance to takefull force and effect upon summary publication. in the White:.Bear <br />Press: and, be it <br />FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City.
