forgive me - I don't remember if it's Matilda or Galtier -
and on that one we have County Road C-2 being the one that is
stopped. what we've tried to do is provide a way that someone
has to stop at all the intersections to allow the people to
go through in the other direction. It's not four-way stops,
I agree. I guess from my own perspective, they shouldn't be
four-way stops.

MR. HAIDER: We had it at one time and then they took
them out and put them the other way and now we have them on
C-2 but not on Galtier.

ACTING MAYOR JOHNSON: I think the Council has a pretty
good sense of the group - does anybody have anything new or
different to add to this project?

MAN IN AUDIENCE: I would like to go far afield, if you
would. We live over on the corner of Virginia and County Road
C-2 and at the foot of C-2 - that little area back in there
Mr. Honchell - I call it Walden's Pond. We go back there with
the grandchildren and prior to the recent tornado we had, it
was always beautiful back in there. Now it's hopeless. Could
City Hall or could the neighbors get together and clean up
that little area back in there and put some walk paths around
there? There are trees and wildflowers - just an excellent
place to just walk around - a little nature trail back there.

MR. HONCHELL: I take it you're talking about the area
to the west of Western. That's school board property. We've
been trying for some time to get some sort of a use for that
land, but we haven't been successful yet.

ACTING MAYOR JOHNSON: Anything new to be added to this
it-em?

MAN IN AUDIENCE: I was just going to ask on that C-2
and Rice - are they going to - when they dig it all up -
they're going to have a higher grade on C-2 for about a
hundred feet west of Rice? Right now it's so 20W, in the
wintertime you can't get going to get out on Rice Street,
due to the highway department's little single lane coming at
you southbound. I was wondering - are they going to raise
that grade there? Maybe a foot by the time it gets to Rice
Street?

MR. HONCHELL: I guess I can't give you that design
piece of information because I don't know, but I appreciate
the input. We'll take that into consideration.

MAN IN
the property
really get a
single lane.
we never got
tore up that

AUDIENCE: You stop now and you're so close to
line of that house - people corning on Rice don't
chance to see you - your nose is out in that
I think it's too late sometimes. Another thing,
our street sign back up from last fall when they

-13-
