MR. LYMAN DALE: I'd even give up a couple feet more of my
yard to get a sidewalk there because I use the lawn. On
Sunday mornings I walk up and get a paper and I walk on the
south side of the street where there's that boulevard and I
walk up on the grass. I can't believe - because one side
is not going to be parking - that the other side is going to
give you a walking space. I wouldn't let my kids walk on that
street. I would really like to see some consideration. Also,
about mid-way down in front of my house, if you'd put a public
trash can there for Burger King (inaudible). The other thing
is between Marion and Galtier - if we get a really heavy rain -
there's a real wash of water that comes down there and backs
up onto the street now. There's a sewer there right now, but
it over-does it. It's not adequately open or something.

MR. HONCHELL: And that's between Marion and Galtier?

MR. DALE: Yes.

MR. HONCHELL: You're talking about the common backyard

lot?

MR. DALE: Yes, right between those two yards - when it
comes down that hill.

MR. HONCHELL: What we'll do - we'll take your comment
and if there is a storm drainage facility - which you're
saying there is - we'll look at the possibility of trying to
make that redesigned in a way that will take more water.

MR. DALE: Okay, but the sidewalk is my big concern
because I've got kids that I know are going to walk up there.
There's a bus stop up there too on Rice Street and there's a
lot of traffic.

ACTING MAYOR JOHNSON: We can't really deal with that
sidewalk issue this evening but it will be an issue that will
come up as part of the bike path study I'm sure. We'll take
your comments under advisement then.

MAYOR DEMOS: Just a minute - we can do sidewalks
(inaudible) .

MR. HONCHELL: We can do it. As I say, the only reason
we didn't include it here is oecause of the fact that it
wasn't on at least the recommended pathway.

MA~OR DEMOS: We're not talking about a bike path.

MR. HONCHELL: But that's what the pathway committee
dealt with.

MR. LYMAN DALE: No, that's not right, because I even
heard that the state will take this up along with the street
improvement. This is a no-charge.

-7-
