We have received written notification from Don Anderson and Ruth Gruver of the Parks and Recreation Commission that they are not seeking reappointment, and we have received verbal notification from the chair of the Human Rights Commission that Mary Vidas may not seek reappointment. In addition to consideration of reappointments, we have received a letter of resignation, effective March 31, 2040, from Barb Veath, creating a vacancy on the Ethics Commission for her unexpired term of April 1,2000 --- March 3 1,200 1. STAFF RECOMMENDATION At Work Session, the dates mentioned in the staff report were March 10, 2000 as the deadline for accepting applications and March 15, 2000 for interviews. The new proposed dates of March 17, 2000 and March 22, 2004,respectively, are one week latter to provide additional time for solicitation of applicants while maintaining the option of Council appointment by March 3 1, 2040 (at the March 275 2000 Council meeting). Please confirm these dates on your calendar. COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED Establish (suggested date) Friday, March 17, 2000 at 4:34 p.m. as the deadline for accepting applications for the following vacancies: Ethics Commission (2), Human Rights Commission (2), Parks and Recreation Commission (2), and Police Civil Service Commission (1), and establish a special City Council Work Session on(suggested date) Wednesday, March 22, 2000 at 5:00 p.m. at Roseville City Hall for the purpose of interviewing commission applicants. and Motion to request each Commission to establish a policy on attendance of members.
