JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br /> PROVIDING FOR SHARING OF SERVICES <br /> AND RESOURCES BETWEEN THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> AND THE CITY OF ARDEN HILLS <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, entered into by and between the CITY OF ROSEVILLE, a <br /> Minnesota municipal corporation, and the CITY OF ARDEN HILLS, a Minnesota municipal <br /> corporation, is effective upon the execution of this Agreement by the named officers of both <br /> cities. <br /> RECITALS <br /> WHEREAS, both cities are interested in exploring opportunities for promoting the <br /> efficient delivery of public services to its residents through cooperative and collaborative <br /> ventures with each other in the areas of mutual assistance, program development, and technical <br /> services, and; <br /> WHEREAS, each city has personnel and equipment resources that are not otherwise <br /> readily available to the other City respectively, and; <br /> WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 471.59 authorizes political subdivisions of the State to <br /> enter into Joint Powers Agreements for the joint exercise of powers and specifically provides that <br /> local governments may jointly or cooperatively exercise any power common to the contracting <br /> parties or any similar powers, including those which are the same except for the territorial limits <br /> within which they may be exercised. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, it is mutually stipulated and agreed to as follows: <br /> 95743 1 <br />
