City Council Minutes — 07/29/02 <br /> Page 4 <br /> Mayor Kysylyczyn responded that, while the prices can <br /> fluctuate, the City needed to have some limitations to <br /> present a quality project that will pass the referendum. <br /> Mr. Wentzell responded that their firm had a <br /> professional obligation to present a proposed quality <br /> within the projected budget, or provide options to <br /> address disparities. <br /> Mayor Kysylyczyn and Councilmember Schroeder, <br /> along with Public Works Director Schwartz, concurred <br /> that the Public Works Maintenance facility renovations <br /> still needing to be included were of concern. <br /> Councilmember Kough stated that, in working with staff, <br /> he's comfortable with the Site Plan as presented, and <br /> further stated that he had confidence in the Architect <br /> continuing within the Council's parameters. <br /> Councilmember Schroeder concurred and expressed <br /> appreciation to the Architect and staff for presentation of <br /> a good product. <br /> Staff was directed to proceed with the project's design <br /> and costing in cooperation with the Architect. <br /> In a related note, Mayor Kysylyczyn advised that the <br /> Greater St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce has <br /> decided that they're not going to take a public position on <br /> this referendum; and has extended an invitation to the <br /> City Council and staff to an upcoming meeting to <br /> provide a presentation on the proposed Roseville project, <br /> and will at that same meeting, provide time for the <br /> School District's referendum coming up on the Primary <br /> Ballot in September. <br /> Mayor Kysylyczyn requested that staff refine the City's <br /> presentation and combine those of the Police and Public <br /> Works Departments into one slide show for mobility and <br />
