EXTRACT OF MINUTES of EE TIN F THE <br /> CITY COUNCIL of THE CITY of RO E ILLS <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the <br /> City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly called held at the City Hall on <br /> Monday, the 23rd day of February, 1998, at 6: 0 P.M. <br /> The following members were present: and the following were <br /> absent: . <br /> Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION No, <br /> RESOLUTION GRANTING A SETBACK VARIANCE AT <br /> 1227 LARPENTEUR AVENUE WEST <br /> WHEREAS, Section 1005.01A of the Roseville City Code requires a side yard <br /> ck of 1 o feet and a rear and setback of 20 feet for a building in a E zoning district; <br /> setback ]� <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, Tammy Jenkins has requested a variance to reduce the side yard <br /> setback to zero feet and the rear yard setback to zero feet for the purpose of replacing an <br /> existing 6' ' attached accessory steel building with a 7.5t 7' addition to the principal <br /> structure at 1 227 Larpenteu r Avenue West; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on the <br /> Wednesday, February 11, 1 998, and recommended approval of the requested <br /> request on ]�, rY <br /> variances; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Roseville City Council received the Planning Commissionis <br /> recommendation on Monday, February 23, 1998; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Roseville City Council made the following findings: <br /> Section 1005.01(A) of the i Code requires a side yard setback of 10 feet and a <br /> rear and setback of 20 feet for a parcel in a E zoning district. The existing <br /> y <br /> principal al structure is on the rear property line and setback 7.7 feet from the side <br /> e line. The attached accessory steel structure is set back four feet from the <br /> prop <br /> rear property line and one foot from the side property line. <br /> 2. The location of the existing building o n the property, the substandard size of the <br /> parcel (11,343 s dare feet), the location of trees and other landscaping materials <br /> on t he parcel, and the interior layout of the building creates practical difficulties for <br /> constructing an addition anywhere on the parcel. <br /> Resolution - Page 1 of <br />
