the City (presumably through a Task Force) develop a clear and concise
housing and neighborhood preservation code for multi-family and single
family units. The Commission will be represented by John Rhody at the
meeting to explain his concept and gain Council insight and direction.
2.7 The Roseville Housing Program (through staff) has been an active
member of the first ring cities preparing a housing design book and
promoting the advantages of firing in the first ring - a great place to live"
concept. Roseville's share of this cost is $5,000, which has been proposed
to be funded by the Housing Fund. Such a book would be available at the
Annual Housing Fair, bankers, realtors, library etc. Additional sponsors are
being sought to reduce the cities' costs. Are there further directions on this?
See the attachment.
2.8 The staff is prepared to give the Council a brief update on the
Cornerstone Program and the next steps in the process.
2.9 Discussion/direction on the County's Temporary Shelter Program -
primarily for women and children - is also needed. Staff is prepared to
provide a verbal overview.
Attachments:
Report by: Dennis Welsch, 490-2232
C:IWPWIN601WPbOCSIHOUSINGI1-20.97.RPT
3
