Regular City Council Meeting <br /> Monday, September 12, 2011 <br /> Page 27 <br /> Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon briefly summarized the <br /> RCA dated September 12, 2011; noting that the building had since been demo- <br /> lished. Mr. Trudgeon highlighted the conditions recommended by staff and de- <br /> tailed in Section 7 of the RCA; and upon review by the Parks and Recreation <br /> Commission, their recommendation for park dedication fees was for cash in lieu <br /> of land. Mr. Trudgeon noted that this was just the Preliminary Plat, and the Final <br /> Plat would return as an action item for the City Council at a future date. <br /> Johnson moved, Willmus seconded, approval of the proposed PRELIMINARY <br /> PLAT at 2285 Walnut Street; based on the comments and findings of Sections 4-6 <br /> and the conditions of Section 7 of the Request for Council Action (RCA) dated <br /> September 12, 2011. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Willmus; Pust; McGehee; Johnson; and Roe. <br /> Nays: None. <br /> f. Consider a Resolution Related to the Housing and Redevelopment Authority <br /> Appointment(HRA) to Fill a Vacancy <br /> Mayor Roe recommended appointment of Ms. Debora L. Battisto to the City's <br /> HRA to complete a five-year term vacated by Commissioner Susan Elkins, with <br /> that term expiring September 23, 2015; and urged City Council support of that <br /> recommendation. <br /> Mayor Willmus noted that this appointment process was handled differently than <br /> most Commission vacancies, as it was proscribed by State Statute. <br /> McGehee moved, Johnson seconded, adoption of Resolution No. 10932 (Attach- <br /> ment C) entitled, "Resolution Approving Mayor's Appointment of Debora L. Bat- <br /> tisto to the Housing and Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of Roseville <br /> to Fill an Unexpired Term;"to complete a five-year term on the Housing and Re- <br /> development Authority that ends September 23, 2015. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Willmus; Pust; McGehee; Johnson; and Roe. <br /> Nays: None. <br /> Mayor Roe thanked the City Council for their support; and offered congratula- <br /> tions to Ms. Battisto. <br /> g. Consider Councilmember Attendance at National League of Cities Confe- <br /> rence <br /> A brief discussion was held on the attendance at this upcoming conference, due to <br /> timing issues for registration and potential early registration cost savings if any <br /> Councilmembers were interested. <br />
