It summarises information about tasks,1nowl- <br />edges, shills, and abilities using sophisticated scoring algorithms to create job <br />databases, and to generate job analysis reports.. <br />Other COMPASIm nodules under development include: <br />* selection and promotion (SELIECD, <br />* training (TRAIN), <br />• performance appraisal (APPRAISE), <br />• career planning and development (CAREER), and <br />• compensation (PAY), <br />Together these form an integrated, state -of -the - art human resource manage - <br />ment system. <br />Just prior to iommg-PDRI, Oohm held a concurrent appointment as the coor- <br />dinator of the vocational Assessment Clinic (VA Q and the vocational As- <br />sessnwnt Program (VAP) at the University of Minnesota. Both the clinic and <br />assessment programs work toward achieving the university's goals of service, <br />teaching, and research. The assessment program had a contractual agreement <br />with the Minnesota Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) to provide the <br />psychological assessment of the 3000+ rehabilitation clients tested per year. <br />To achieve this goal, Dohm coordinated the activities of the 23 psychome- <br />trists whom the Program employed to dminister tests in the 56 ' state offices. <br />i <br />He also assisted n the training of the Depar ment's Zoo+ rehabilitation <br />counselors., <br />A recent research effort c Iminated in the publication of the Minnesota Occu- <br />pational Classification System I!f (MOCS III). MOCS III is a computerized <br />occupational classification system used in career planning. The primary clas- <br />sification dimensions of the system are ability requirements (as measured by <br />the OATS) and reinforcer characteristics. The MOCS M System is currently <br />being used by the Minnesota ]division of Rehabilitation Services. <br />Rohm spent the years 1973-1979 in the Philippines. While them, he directly <br />supervised the development of several nationally4dministemd, achievement <br />and ability tests, most notably the Philippine Aptitude Classification Test <br />PAS.
