Regular City Council Minutes — 11117/03 <br />DRAFF Minutes - Page 24 <br />Discussion components included site slopes; flow of bus, <br />vehicular and pedestrian traffic on the site and safety <br />concerns; sufficiency of parking; and staff confirmed that <br />adjoining property owners had been noticed of tonight's <br />meeting, with no commend having been received. <br />Greg Anderson, North Heights Church representative <br />Mx. Anderson advised that he had answered questions of <br />some residents in the audience who couldn't stay any dater <br />related to inclusion of the gated access on Woodbridge to <br />control weekday traffic, and safely concerns for the pond, <br />which the architects/contractors will address in their final <br />design. <br />Mr. Anderson also responded to scheduling concerns with <br />Phase I anticipated at a 14 —18 month construction period, <br />and Phase II estimated at a maximum of two years from <br />start to finish. <br />Mr. Anderson reviewed numerous options considered for <br />the access road around the building, but determined that to <br />ensure pedestrian safety when buses dropped off kids, <br />there couldn't be vehicles driving through. <br />Mr. Anderson also advised that the soccer field site had <br />been rotated to address citizen concerns. <br />Mx. Anderson, at Mayor Kysylyczyn's prompting, <br />reviewed lighting on the south side that would be <br />acceptable in the residential neighborhood. <br />Councilmember Schroeder reiterated his original concerns <br />related to the parking lot traffic exiting on County Road C <br />and the proxin-ty to the County Road C and Rice Street <br />intersection; the increased traffic flow and patterns, <br />including buses on Woodridge Avenue in a residential <br />area; expressing his lack of support for any of the options <br />presented to alleviate his concerns. <br />Mr. Anderson anticipated that bussing would be limited, <br />with mostly drop off by parents, and limited student <br />
