The <br />depreciation schedule plans for the replacement of firefighting vehicles after a 20 -year life. Depend' an wear <br />and usage, some vehic les can last longer than 2 0 yeM hi1c, hers ro4y hie costly to repair and m aintain <br />before their 20 -year life is up. Vehicle repairs have cost $ 1499059 <br />for the five -year period from 1998 through 2002. The estimated repairs for 2003 are $5 1, 000 (excluding the <br />5 13,750 estimated cost to repair Engines 31 and 32).
