To move forward on this item, the Council will need to give final approval of the proposed non - exclusive transit stop shelter franchise ordinance. The Council may want to also approve the siting criteria as recommended by the Public forks and Transportation Commission and decide the issue of whether co- location at transit shelter sites will be allowed. Item 2: The approval of the non - exclusive transit shelter franchise negates the need for the shelter language that was added to Ordinance No. 1 267 in 2002. Staff proposes the changes to the existing ordinance as shown in Attachment D, an Ordinance Amending Chapter 7, Section 703.05 of the Roseville City Code Concerning Bus Benches. Approval of these changes separates the requirements for transit shelters and bus benches into separate ordinances. The proposed changes increase the fee for the annual permit for each bone from 5 to $35. It also authorizes the Public Works Director to require the placement and maintenance of trash receptacles at bench locations on an as needed basis.
