Ms. Andrews reviewed the history of the organization, their mission, staffing and service demographics, and the services provided through the contract {i.e., mental health counseling, diversion, youth -run business and senior chore services. Ms. Kane provided an overview of the mental health services provided; and Mr. Mottka reviewed the various community development and diversion services, emphasizing intervention to enrichment for high -risk youth. Ms. Andrews reviewed the organization's various revenue sources (in -kind donations; foundations, business and corporate sponsorships; individuals and civic groups; special events and conferences; fees and the "Penny Pinchers" second -hand store proceeds; tenant rent and conference room rental; collaboratives; and government support). Ms. Andrews then reviewed the organization's expenses (i.e., programs, building operation, development and administration). At Mayor Kysylyczyn's request, Councilmember Maschka spoke in support of the organization, of his experience in serving on the organization's board on behalf of the City Council; and expressed his feelings about the agency and their work in the community. Councilmember Maschka encouraged Councilmernbers to support the minimal amount requested by this agency, opining that this would be the wrong time to cut funding, given the current economic situation with foundations under assault and the stake cutting programs. Councilmember Maschka further opined that, while the stage may be having financial difficulties, the City of Roseville was not, and the children served by this program were the City's children, and the services were utilized consistently by the Police
