X's 0 <br />r i arks and Recreation Needs Assessment Experten <br />NEEDS ASSESSMENT STUDY PRIOR TO MASTER PLAN 2005) (2010) <br />Wheeling Park District, Wheeling, Illinois <br />Leisure Vision conducted a Community Attitude and Interest Survey during June and July of <br />2005 to help establish priorities for the future development of parks and recreation facilities, <br />programs and services within the community. The survey was designed to obtain statistically <br />valid results from households throughout the Wheeling Park District and adjacent areas in the <br />Village of Prospect Heights and Buffalo Grove. The survey was administered by a combination <br />of mail and phone. <br />Leisure Vision worked extensively with Wheeling Park District officials and residents of the <br />Wheeling Park District in the development of the survey questionnaire. These efforts included a <br />series of stakeholder interviews and focus groups with Wheeling Park District residents and <br />Wheeling Park District officials, plus a public forum <br />The goal was to obtain at least 500 completed surveys, including at least 425 surveys from <br />residents of the Wheeling Park District. This goal was accomplished, with 516 surveys having <br />been completed, including, 442 by Wheeling Park District residents. The results of the random <br />sample of 516 households have a 95% level of confidence with a precision of at least +/-4.3%. <br />The results of the random sample of 442 Park District households have a 95% level of <br />confidence with a precision of at least +/4.7%. <br />Leisure Vision is currently working on an update of the 2005 community survey, focus groups, <br />and stakeholder interviews. <br />NEEDS ASSESSMENT FOCUS GROUPS (2010) <br />Quincy, Illinois <br />Leisure Vision is currently working has been selected to work with the Quincy Illinois Park <br />District conducting a series of community focus groups and board workshops to understand <br />community issues and priorities.
