REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date: September 26, 2011 <br />11 <br />Item No.: 7 - j <br />Department Approval City Manager Approval <br />Item Description: Youth Representative on Human Rights Commission <br />=1L 11 <br />2 Over the years, the City Council has appointed a non-voting youth representative to serve a one- <br />3 year term on the Human Rights Commission (HRC). The youth representative position had been <br />4, vacant for several years, but in 20 10 the HRC received several applications. Because of the <br />5 interest and because of the quality of applicants, the HRC asked the City Council to appoint two <br />6 youth representatives and an alternate to serve on the Commission. <br />"7 Anthony Barrett and Seth Josephson were appointed to the youth positions and Marie Siliciano <br />8 was appointed to the alternate position.
