Promote and secure the prompt development or redevelopment of certain <br />property iin the Project Area, whiich property its not now in produ�ctiive u�se or in iits hiighest and best use, <br />in a manner consiistent iith the Ciity's Comprehensive PI n, whiich will where practiicabl�e, miitiigate <br />exiistiing adverse environmental condiitiions and cau�se a miiniimu�m adverse impact on the environment <br />and thereby promote and secu re the development or redevelopment of other l nd in the Ciity. <br />M. Promote and secure additional employment opportunities iithiin the Project <br />Area and the Ciity for resiidents of the Ciity and the su�rrou�ndiing area, thereby iimproviing l�iiviing standards, <br />redu�ciing unemployment and the loss of skiil�l�ed and u�nskiil�l�ed l bor and other hug man resources in the <br />City. <br />n. Secure the iincreased val�u�atiion of property subject to taxatiion by the Ciity, the <br />School Diistriict, the county and other taxiing Jurisdictions in order to better enable such entiitiies to pay <br />for governmental serviices and programs requ�iired to be proviided by them. <br />0. Provide for the fiinanciing and constru�ctiion of pu�bl�iic iimprovements iin the Project <br />Area necessary for the orderly and beneficial development or redevelopment of the Project Area. <br />P. Promote the concentratiion of new desiirabl�e resiidentii al�, commercia al�, office, and <br />other pproprii to development or redevelopment iin the Project Area so as to develop and maiintaiin the <br />area iin a manner compatiibl�e wiith iits accessiibiil�iity and promiinence in the Ciity. <br />q. Encourage local bu�si�ness expansi�on, i�mprovement, devel�opment and <br />redevel�opment whenever possi�bl�e. <br />r. Encourage the renovatiion and expansiion of historical stru�ctu�res. <br />S. El�iimiinate physical deterrents to the development or redevelopment of the l nd. <br />t. Create a desiirabl�e and u�niiqu�e character iithiin the Project Area through qua al�iity <br />I nd u�se Item dives and desiign qua al�iity iin new and remodeled bu�iil�diings. <br />U.
