Action to Date: The "Partner Schools"' concept is a reality. The elementary buildings <br />are sharing instructional technology assistants, social workers, school psychologists, <br />school nurses,, ATPPS leadership, curriculum teams, technology support, communication <br />support and specialist staff I believe that "Partner Schools"' allow the district to provide <br />the services,, depth, and support of a larger elementary school to our families while <br />maintaining the small intimate neighborhood schools our families love and research <br />supports. <br />Milepost #3: Establish "user fees" to cover non-�K-�12 operational costs at Fairview <br />Community Center and other district facilities <br />Responsible District Administrator — John Thein, Karen Schaub and Bob Rygh <br />Team Composition —Community Education Staff, FAHS Staff, NSSC, District <br />Maintenance Department <br />Planning Timeline — Continuous <br />Pilot Project— September 2005 <br />Projected Implementation —Ongoing <br />Action to Date: Karen Schaub,, Community Education Director, and her staff have <br />developed a new fee structure for the Fairview Pool that will allow for community usage. <br />Bob Rygh and Karen Schaub are examining the possibility of assessing an "energy"' fee to <br />the municipalities that use our facilities and to the youth athletic programs that schedule <br />our gymnasiums. There is also a review of building costs associated with Community <br />Education classes to ensure the fees cover operating costs. Ms. Schaub is also evaluating <br />the amount of funding generated by the Fairview Alternative High School. A review of <br />all current lease agreements is being conducted to make sure the district is receiving <br />market rates for leased space. The program has met all the planned objectives and is considered to be a <br />successful endeavor worthy of duplication.
