Planning Timeline — Discontinued Pilot Project — N/A Projected Implementation —Not Implemented Action to Date: It is was my recommendation that Roseville Area Schools refrain from asking the community to support this initiative after the passage of the referendum. The passage of the referendum in September of 2006 allowed the district to move out of SOD. This "Milepost," along with "Milepost 4 6,"' placed the district in a better position to pass the referendum by making the community aware of the financial realities faced by the district. Our open enrollment numbers continue to increase and now equal over 10% of our total enrollment. The district staff is well aware that open enrollment families and their students make it possible for Roseville to offer breadth and depth that would not be possible without the additional students gained through the option program. The sale of the property will allow St. Jude Corporation to expand their facility and increase the number of employment positions. The City held public meetings and assisted in the sale of the property to St. Jude. The benefit to the school district is clear,, and the City has improved its tax base. The new positions will bring additional families to Little Canada and the school district.
