It is the objective of the district administration to meet with all our municipalities in order <br />to explore new ways to cut costs and expand programming to all of our constituents. A <br />joint School Board and Roseville City Council meeting is scheduled for June 25, 2008. <br />Milepost #10: Explore alternative methods of delivering high cost programs and <br />services <br />Responsible District Administrator —John Their <br />Team Composition — District Center Administrators <br />Planning Timeline — Continuous <br />Pilot Project— 916 Cooperative Purchasing <br />Projected Implementation —Ongoing <br />Action to Date: This is an ongoing quest for the district. The 916 cooperative <br />purchasing agreement is one of the new options for the district to reducing overhead. <br />Another example of an "alternative method"' is the district's Insurance Committee's study <br />of the current VEBA health insurance plan. The savings could be significant. The district <br />leadership will continue to "brainstorm"' ideas for low cost, high service arrangements. <br />Milepost #11: Lobby the Minnesota State Legislature for adequate financial support <br />Responsible District Administrator —John Thein and District Center Administrators <br />Team Composition — School Board, PTA, ECFE Advisory Council (other district <br />councils when appropriate) <br />Planning Timeline — Continuous <br />Pilot Project— The Legislative Action Committee <br />Projected Implementation— Current and ongoing <br />Action to Date: The school district is currently involved with AMSS, MSBA, MASS, <br />MASS, the Alliance for Student Achievement and other educational organizations to <br />promote the importance of E -12 education. During the past year the school board has <br />recognized the Roseville Legislative Action Committee and their role in lobbying the <br />legislature on district education issues.
