1 6. 20 § 1006.05F (Off-Street Loading) states.- Off-street loadin g shall be as listed in subsection <br />2 1005. 01F of this title and servicing space shall be designatedfor each store unit in the <br />3 shopping district. Such loading space shall be designed so as not to conflict with <br />4 movement of vehicular traffic to and' ftom parking areas. <br />5 <br />6 1. Any commercial loading dock within three hund red feet (300 of a residential <br />7 district shall be completely screened by a wall, landscaped bier , fence, or <br />8 co bination thereof from an adjacent residential area, from a ph o intfourteen feet <br />9 <br />(14; above the ground at the loading area to a poini five feet (5 � above the first <br />10 floor (main level) of adjacent residences. <br />11 <br />12 2'. Any commercial loading dock within three hund red feet (300 of a residential <br />13 district which is to be used' for any reason by vehicles or equipment between the <br />14 hours of ten o'clock (10: 00) P.M. and seven o'clock (7: 00) A. M. shall be within a <br />15 completely enclosed and roofed structure. All loading, and unloading, operations <br />16 shall occur with the exterior doors shut at all times. <br />17 <br />18 The Planning Division has determined that the only area impacted by the new dock <br />19 area is the north side, which area includes a steep slope that will be landscaped with <br />20 coniferous trees. The Planning Division has further determined that need to fully <br />21 enclose the dock area is unnecessary due to this slope and the minimal impact the <br />22 dock area will have (given its location and design) on the adjacent north residential <br />23 property. Round 's has indicated that they will work with their vendors on the <br />24 hours deliveries occur and the Planning Division will work to address this item for <br />25 inclusion in the final plan. <br />26 <br />27 6.21 § 1006.05G (Maintenance Activities) states.- Movement of sweeping vehicles, garbage <br />28 trucks, maintenance trucks, shopping carts, and other service vehicles and equipment is <br />29 prohibited within three hund red feet (300 of a residential district between the hours of <br />30 ten o'clock (10 :00) P.M. and seven o'clock (7: 00) A.M., exceptJor, emergency vehicles <br />31 and m <br />eergency utility or maintenance activ Ex m <br />ities. cept in the case of eergency, all <br />32 snow removal operations within three hundredJeet (300 of an adjacent residential <br />33 district shall be undertaken consistent with a snow management plan that must be <br />34 annually submitted to and approved by the city. The plan must include measures to <br />35 minimize removal activity during the hours of ten o'clock (10 :00) P.M. and seven o'clock <br />36 (7: 00) A. M. consistent with public safety requirements. The plan must also address the <br />37 location and management of short-term (7 day or less) and long-term (more than 7 days) <br />38 storage of snow on-site and off-site. Long term snow storage shall not occur within 300 <br />39 feet of a residential zone. Long term snow storage may only occur on surplus parking <br />4O spaces beyond the required spaces within Section 1018 of this C'Ode. <br />41 <br />4 The majority of the activity discussed above will be central to the parcel and of <br />43 minimal impact to the adjacent residential properties.
