1 6.22 § 1006.05H (Equipment Restrictions) states.- All ground-mounted or roof-� ounted <br />2 equipment, automatic doors, speaker systems, gas pumps, car washes, vehicle vacuum <br />3 cleaners, air hoses, or other noise sources within three hund red feet (300 of a <br />4 residential area must be completely screened to a poini five feet (5� above the first floor <br />5 of adjacent residences. Outdoor speaker systems or other public address systems which <br />6 can be heard outside are not allowed to be used between the hours of ten o'clock (10: 00) <br />7 P.M. and seven o'clock (7:00) A. M. within three hundred' feet (300 of a residential <br />8 district, even if screened. <br />9 <br />10 The Planning Division will seek screening of rooftop mechanical equipment from <br />I I the west, east and south property lines. However, given the elevation change on the <br />12 north it would be difficult to totally screen the rooftop units from view at the <br />13 property line. The buffer area adjacent the apartment site will include coniferous <br />14 trees that will assist in screening these units. <br />15 <br />16 6.23 § 1006.051 (Lighting) states.- The height of light poles and fixtures shall comply with <br />17 subsection 1010. 12' of this title, and shall not exceed a height of twelve feet (12, � if <br />18 located closer thanfiflyfeet (50� to a residential property line, nor a height of twenty <br />19 five feet (2,5 � if located between fiflyfeet (50 ) and one hundred feet (100) of a <br />20 residential property line. The light shall be no more than 0.5foot candles at the property <br />21 line. (See Chapter 1011 for light requirements) Light poles orfixtures may be a <br />22 maximum of forty feet (4 0) tall if located greater than one hundred feet (100) from a <br />23 residential property line and if completely screened (light source and light source glare) <br />24 by building, bier , or landscape material with a minimum opacity of ninety percent <br />25 (90%) to eye level view of living spaces in homes within three hundred feet (300) of light <br />26 source. All lights not reasonably required for security or business operations must be <br />27 turned off M. between the hours often o'clock (10:00) P. and sunrise, or operated by <br />28 motion detectors so that they only turn on when there is activity nearby and turn off <br />29 shortly thereafter. <br />30 <br />31 The plans submitted by Round 's does not include a photometric plan. However, <br />32 staff will work with the applicant on a site lighting plan that meets this requirement <br />33 and include it in the final plan. <br />34 <br />35 6.24 § 1006.05J (Other Requirements) states.- <br />36 <br />37 1. Certain Businesses In Shopping Center Districts To Be Enclosed: All business, <br />38 storage, service, repair orprocessing, recycling, box and crate storage or <br />39 merchandise display shall be conducted wholly within an enclosed building or <br />4O behind a solid fence not less than six feet (6) high except as allowed in subsection <br />41 1005.
