Central Park <br />Students - 430 <br />Staff -50 <br />Computers - 168 <br />Telephones -45 <br />With the outdated, unreliable and slow cable modem network, it has been required to house and <br />maintain network servers and applications local to the facilities. Extending network access via fiber will <br />provide the School District the opportunity to centralize data services at the High School campus. The <br />School District has also expressed an interest in extending the City's voice network to these facilities <br />once current telephone service contracts expire. A fiber optic network interconnected with City <br />facilities is critical to explore this cost sharing partnership. <br />Secondary and Tertiary Sites. <br />The proposed fiber route will provide opportunities to connect these additional facilities at a future date <br />if an operational need is determined. These connections would cross connect to the network at <br />designated splice points along the fiber optic pathway. These sites will be examined further in the City <br />Comprehensive Fiber Optic Master Plan. <br />Page 5 of 9 <br />
