Community Development Department <br />Executive Summary <br />The Roseville Community Development Department 2009 -2013 Strategic Plan is herby <br />submitted. This strategic plan has been developed in accordance With the Community <br />Development Department's overall mission and values. Within this framework, the Community <br />Development Department has established goals and priorities that will assist the Department and <br />policy makers allocate the resources and guide operational decisions to meet the needs of the <br />Department and the community. <br />Mission Statement <br />The Roseville Community Development Department is dedicated to maintaining and enriching <br />our community's vitality through long -range planning, equitable administration of building and <br />zoning codes and facilitation of sustainable redevelopment. <br />Community Development Department Vision Statements <br />The Community Development Department staff is dedicated to these core values: <br />Respect — provide courteous and helpful service to everyone <br />Fairness — provide service to all customers that is equitable and unbiased <br />Innovation — seek solutions that are creative and efficient as well as cost - effective <br />Collaboration — seek out internal and external partnerships to lead to better service and outcomes <br />Quality- daily task and work products are done with attention to detail and clarity <br />Efficiency- methods are employed to take the least amount of time at the least cost <br />Stewardship — dedication towards applying our work toward thinking to future generations <br />Dependable — reliable and consistent service and work products <br />Professional —all interactions are conducted with the highest degree of professionalism <br />Excellence — create work product and services better than what is expected <br />2009 -2013 Goals and Priorities <br />During the next five years, the Community Development Department will focus on and <br />implement the following goals <br />1) Review and update Department Policies and Procedures to ensure that they are meeting <br />the needs of the departments, the City as an organization, and the citizens of Roseville. <br />E <br />
