Regular City Council Meeting <br /> Monday,January 09, 2012 <br /> Page 13 <br /> Councilmember McGehee questioned if ASU was the only option; and if the U of <br /> MN had been considered. <br /> Mr. Brokke responded that the U of MN uses the services of ASU. <br /> Johnson moved, Willmus seconded, authorizing the Mayor and City Manager to <br /> sign an agreement with Arizona State University to implement the official Best <br /> Value Procurement Method for the Park Renewal Program, as outlined in the <br /> RCA dated January 9, 2012, in an amount not to exceed $215,000, and pending <br /> final approval of the City Attorney. <br /> Mayor Roe asked that, as a result of tonight's discussion and additional provisions <br /> to include in the final contract, staff provide feedback to the City Council on those <br /> revisions. <br /> Councilmember McGehee expressed her personal interest in reviewing the re- <br /> vised contract to ensure the addition of those items discussed, such as the City's <br /> ability to purchase upgrades as they're implemented by ASU. <br /> Lonnie Brokke, directed Councilmember McGehee to that language already in- <br /> cluded in the scope of the current contract. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Ayes: Pust; Willmus; Johnson; and Roe. <br /> Nays: None. <br /> Abstain: McGehee <br /> 13. Business Items—Presentations/Discussions <br /> a. Discussion of City Council Rules and Procedures <br /> Mayor Roe provided, as a bench handout attached hereto and made a part here- <br /> of, a page from the Minnesota Mayors Handbook through the LMC, entitled, <br /> "Making Meetings Work,"for reference by individual Councilmembers. <br /> Mayor Roe noted that there was no action necessary tonight unless Councilmem- <br /> bers had recommendations; and further noted that this document could always be <br /> considered in the future. Mayor Roe noted that Councilmember McGehee was <br /> still working on potential revisions related to video presentations. <br /> Councilmember McGehee questioned the process for time-sensitive issues being <br /> brought forward by individual Councilmembers; and Mayor Roe reviewed the <br /> current rules in place and options to address such issues. Mayor Roe noted that he <br /> tried to be flexible as he and City Manager Malinen were developing each meet- <br /> ing agenda. <br />
