<br />City Council Study Session - 04/18/05 <br />Minutes - Page 2 <br /> <br />Approve Agenda Approve Agenda <br />Mayor Klausing called for any comments or discussion on <br />tonight's Agenda. <br /> <br />There were no comments. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing noted the recogmtlOn received in the local <br />newspaper by the Future Problem Solvers Team, including <br />Roseville Area School student Andy Schultz, in a problem- <br />solving competition in Lexington, KY. Andy is the son of Rick <br />Schultz from our Parks and Recreation Department, and Mayor <br />Klausing offered congratulations on behalf of the City Council <br />and community. <br /> <br />1. Receive Public Comment about City Issues Public Comment <br />Mayor Klausing called for public comment by members of the about City Issues <br />audience on any non-agenda items. <br /> <br />A. John Kysylyczyn, 3083 N Victoria Street <br />Mr. Kysylyczyn requested a more detailed summary of the <br />Closed Executive Session held earlier tonight; which City <br />Attorney Scott Anderson provided for public information. <br /> <br />Mr. Kysylyczyn provided his observations of City Council <br />meetings over the last eight years and the lack of initiative <br />of elected officials. Mr. Kysylyczyn commended <br />Councilmember Schroeder on his initiative in organizing a <br />group of working volunteers to study crosswalk concerns in <br />the community, along with Parks and Public Works <br />Commissioners. Mr. Kysylyczyn thanked Councilmember <br />Schroeder. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Briefing about Draft City Wellness Program <br />Human Resources Manager Dona Bacon presented a proposed <br />Wellness Program for Roseville City Employees, and entitled <br />"Coming Up Roses, Not Pushing Up Daisies." <br /> <br />Briefing about <br />Draft City Wellness <br />Program <br /> <br />Ms. Bacon briefly reviewed the challenge; strategies for tackling <br />the challenge; Roseville's health care rate increase history over <br />last four years, Roseville's plan design/cost sharing, and claim <br />utilization history. <br />
