City Council Study Session - 04/18/05 Minutes - Page 2 Approve Agenda Approve Agenda Mayor Klausing called for any comments or discussion on tonight's Agenda. There were no comments. Mayor Klausing noted the recogmtlOn received in the local newspaper by the Future Problem Solvers Team, including Roseville Area School student Andy Schultz, in a problem- solving competition in Lexington, KY. Andy is the son of Rick Schultz from our Parks and Recreation Department, and Mayor Klausing offered congratulations on behalf of the City Council and community. 1. Receive Public Comment about City Issues Public Comment Mayor Klausing called for public comment by members of the about City Issues audience on any non-agenda items. A. John Kysylyczyn, 3083 N Victoria Street Mr. Kysylyczyn requested a more detailed summary of the Closed Executive Session held earlier tonight; which City Attorney Scott Anderson provided for public information. Mr. Kysylyczyn provided his observations of City Council meetings over the last eight years and the lack of initiative of elected officials. Mr. Kysylyczyn commended Councilmember Schroeder on his initiative in organizing a group of working volunteers to study crosswalk concerns in the community, along with Parks and Public Works Commissioners. Mr. Kysylyczyn thanked Councilmember Schroeder. 2. Briefing about Draft City Wellness Program Human Resources Manager Dona Bacon presented a proposed Wellness Program for Roseville City Employees, and entitled "Coming Up Roses, Not Pushing Up Daisies." Briefing about Draft City Wellness Program Ms. Bacon briefly reviewed the challenge; strategies for tackling the challenge; Roseville's health care rate increase history over last four years, Roseville's plan design/cost sharing, and claim utilization history.
