<br />City Council Regular Meeting - 02/14/05 <br />Minutes - Page 10 <br /> <br />that he was willing to try the ordinance out, with the stipulation <br />that staff return in the fall with a report on the enforceability of <br />the ordinance and specific number quantification. <br /> <br />Councilmember Ihlan spoke in support of the amendment to the <br />ordinance language. <br /> <br />Roll Call (Amendment) <br />Ayes: Kough, Ihlan, Maschka, Schroeder and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />Roll Call (Original Motion as Amended) <br />Ayes: Kough, Ihlan, Maschka, Schroeder and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />Maschka moved, Schroeder seconded, directing staff to return in <br />October, 2005, with a report on the implementation of the <br />ordinance; with Ihlan requesting the motion include statistics on <br />how many citations were initiated by Officer observation and <br />how many were initiated by witnesses or neighbors providing <br />information. All concurred with the language of the motion. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Kough, Ihlan, Maschka, Schroeder and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br /> <br />Councilmember Schroeder moved directing staff to address noise <br />in public parks and open spaces as well as public streets. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing declared that no motion would be necessary; but <br />staff was so directed to determine if a problem was evident in <br />public parks and to proceed accordingly. <br /> <br />8. <br /> <br />Briefing Regarding a Proposed Ordinance Amending the <br />Roseville City Code relating to Animal Control (Dangerous <br />Animal Ordinance) <br />Police Chief Carol Sletner reported on the need to better protect <br />the community from potentially vicious or dangerous animals, <br />and proposed an amendment to City Code, Title Five, Section <br />501.16; broadening the definitions of what the City considers a <br />vicious or dangerous animal and clearly states the owner's <br /> <br />Proposed <br />Ordinance relating <br />to Animal Control <br />(Dangerous Animal <br />Ordinance) <br />
