<br />City Council Study Session - 01/24/05 <br />Minutes - Page 5 <br /> <br />I. Steve Tuckner, Roseville Resident <br />Mr. Tuckner alerted the Councilmembers to an alternative <br />form of transit, entitled "PRT, or Personal Rapid Transit," <br />and briefly explained the program and provided a bench <br />handout outlining additional inforn1ation available via a <br />website. <br /> <br />J. Bill Lueck, 2599 Fry Street (son of Elizabeth Lueck) <br />Mr. Lueck thanked the City Council for their attempts to <br />correct the cross-over problem at Snelling Avenue and <br />Oakcrest Street. <br /> <br />2.b <br /> <br />Councilmember Kough's Report on James Addition <br />Neighborhood Meeting <br />COlincilmember Kough provided a verbal report on the <br />neighborhood meeting recently held with the James Addition <br />neighborhood; City staff and MnDOT North Area Manager <br />Frank Pafko related to the recent closure of the Oakcrest Street <br />median crossover on Snelling Avenue. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kough presented a written proposal by Ms. <br />Elizabeth Lueck, 2599 Fry Street, suggesting a better approach <br />would be to open the crossing immediately and perform the <br />traffic study with the crossing open; with the traffic study <br />including all the accesses to the James Addition as well. <br />Councilmember Kough recommended that a Task Force be <br />formed with five people from the neighborhood to work with the <br />City of Roseville' s Public Works Director Duane Schwartz to <br />find a potential solution; and with that in mind, presented a <br />proposed resolution. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kough advised that he had arranged a meeting <br />with Commissioner Carol Molnau for February 2, 2005 and <br />requested appropriate staff and Councilmembers be available. <br /> <br />Mike Pederson, Roseville Resident <br />Mr. Pederson recommended an amendment to the Resolution <br />proposed by Councilmember Kough, that the access remain open <br />until an alternative access for was presented to the James <br />Addition. <br /> <br />Resolution 10274 <br />Councilmember <br />Kough <br />James Addition <br />Neighborhood <br />Meeting Report <br />
