John Kysylyczyn, 3083 N Victoria Street <br />Mr. Kysylyczyn noted the recent resignation of Sam Marks <br />from the City's Housing and Redevelopment Authority <br />(HRA); encouraging City Councilmembers to join in <br />recognizing Mr. Marks' service to the community. Mr. <br />Kysylyczyn also noted that this would be the first vacancy <br />in the HRA since his tenure on the City Council, and <br />sought the Council's intent as to the appointment process <br />and policies that would be followed. <br /> <br />Mayor Klausing assured Mr. Kysylyczyn that once the City <br />Council had discussed the vacancy and their preference as <br />to the appointment process, an appointment process would <br />be publicized. <br /> <br />C. Ernie Willenbring, 832 Lovell Avenue <br />Mr. Willenbring publicly thanked staff, specifically Parks <br />and Recreation employees Lonnie Brokke and Jeff <br />Evenson, City Councilmember Tom Kough, Mayor <br />Klausing and other citizen volunteers for their work in <br />cleaning up Langton Lake Park, particularly in removing <br />invasive Buckthorn and Boxelder at the park. <br /> <br />Mr. Willenbring also noted upcoming clean up activities at <br />Cottontail Park and at the Harriet Alexander Nature Center <br />(HANC); and encouraged citizen involvement. <br /> <br />Mr. Willenbring noted the many active volunteers in the <br />City of Roseville and expressed his hope to educate the <br />public in their unwarranted criticism of volunteers and <br />alleviating the public's perceived problems in being <br />misinformed that too much vegetation was being removed. <br /> <br />Discussion included an estimate of funds raised through <br />recent fundraising activities at HANC; how to better <br />educate critics of removal of invasive vegetation; and a <br />
