Not reinvent wheel. An idea would be to share training / informational sessions and resources. Arianne: One topic of high interest is "conflict resolution" Gary: Proposes that we all share mailing lists to inform citizens and to communicate to a broader range of folks - advertisement of events, etc. Gwen: expresses that if we come together, then the high numbers of participants influence City Council and other government entities of the topic of interest, which in turn can get broader support and better outcomes for all, leading to possibilities of integrating it into future year budget / programming Gary: shares information about how to respond to marriage amendment All: all commissions should all get together to script a joint position statement so that we could be more powerful...Make the argument. Give the information. (Amendment? Registry?) Wavne: anything else that we could do as a group? Gwen: it would be nice to see what other commissioners' bylaws read. Gary: we're in the process of looking at ours...Mark: I believe we might have some on our website.
